Gig Shots

September, 2016 at the Women In Homeland Security Annual BBQ, this time for the benefit of the FBI Agents Association

Jeff at Public House 7, in 7 Corners, Virginia, with green strings on his guitar for this St. Patrick's Day gig in 2013!

Performing at the Honor Ride in Winchester, Virginia, a benefit for the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, August, 2012.

Patrick displays notable virtuosity on the cowbell at a private party in the mountains between Winchester and West Virginia, August, 2012

The band at the Greenbriar Community Association summer concert, Fairfax, VA, August, 2012, featuring Dan as our guest drummer!

Brothers Italian Pub & Restaurant, 1/15/2011. Jeff's first gig with his new Mesa-Boogie TA-15 amplifier!

Brothers Italian Pub & Restaurant, 1/15/2011. Harry & Alec rock the house during their first performance with the band.

Fightfighters of NoVA Family Day 6/8/08: No, that's not Engine 14 behind us but that's Engine14 in the front (trying to stay cool!)...

Nick's Corner Grill 3/13/08: Brambleton Step Sisters getting everyone charged up for this great benefit for Avon Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. Note that Jeff, in the background, is not a Step-sister; he's just a singer in a rock and roll band!

Brothers 7/21/06: Gary takes a break from his first gig with Engine14...of course notice the (not so) subtle advertisement for his bluegrass band, Dirty River!

GOVSEC 4/26/06: Two nonstop hours later, the job's done, time for a photo op and a beer (but notice the crowd waiting expectantly in background, didn't see anyone waving Bic lights or cell phones, though).

GOVSEC 4/26/06: Despite looking pretty relaxed here, Engine14 fills a room the size of an airplane hangar with music..Washington Convention Center rocks!

GOVSEC 4/26/06: View from the stage (forgive my poor PhotoShop assembly!)...Engine14 takes a break while the Honorable Congressman from Minnesota says a few words to the crowd.

GOVSEC 4/26/06: Either Stan is directing the setup or telling Rob that is a cymbal...only they know for sure.
![Brothers 4/15/06: Hey, don't even try to hide out from the stage camera! [and notice any stylish t-shirts in this pic?]](http://d10j3mvrs1suex.cloudfront.net/s:bzglfiles/u/44827/fc029e7c90a4e4d36c8c61104c373f92a0763fa5/original/378266-orig.jpg/!!/b%3AW1sic2l6ZSIsIjM1MHciXV0%3D/meta%3AeyJzcmNCdWNrZXQiOiJiemdsZmlsZXMifQ%3D%3D.jpg)

Decoy 2/25/2006: Rob offers a tutorial--"So then I take these wooden sticks and I beat the drums and that's how they work..."'

Decoy 2/25/2006: Getting the evening started with Mrs. Robinson. Red is a popular color with us, it seems!

Decoy 2/24/06: The view from Rob's "throne" of drums...Rob STILL setting up! The Decoy is decked out in Mardi Gras best.

Decoy 2/24/2006: Okay, so maybe we had to use duct tape to keep it on, but Blues Brother Dan is now in the Engine14 spirit.

Decoy 2/24/2006: Rob in an awesome drum solo during Purple Haze...I drove 40 miles home, showered, napped, read the paper, came back, he was still at it.

Decoy 2/24/2006: The fan's alternative to face-painting: pinning something on! But see what this "anonymous" fan gets for this support....

Decoy 2/24/2006: The reward for pinning something on: closing out the evening with a guest spin on Jeff's Gibson! Actually this IS Jeff(1), and also Engine14's Jeff(2) standing in for Stan on the bass guitar. Jeff to the 2nd power? Okay, so "anonymous" fan Jeff(1) was a plant in the crowd--he's an awesome lead guitarist.

Brothers 1/21/06: Writing the band name on your face = big fan, thanks, we love it! Writing it in permanent marker = SUPER FAN!

Brothers 12/3/05: our most loyal fan at Brothers. This guy is always standing there waiting for us...
![12/3/05: yes, he's a tiny fan, but has the applause power of TEN grownups! [no this is not a clever product placement for Comcast]](http://d10j3mvrs1suex.cloudfront.net/s:bzglfiles/u/44827/31ca68c2fd826522065e08a0403ae3f26ec0387e/original/264675-orig.jpg/!!/b%3AW1sic2l6ZSIsIjM1MHciXV0%3D/meta%3AeyJzcmNCdWNrZXQiOiJiemdsZmlsZXMifQ%3D%3D.jpg)

Dec 1 gig at the Decoy Lounge: up in lights for the first time, cool! So get a room, get a steak, get your hair done, then come see us play! ;-)
![Decoy 12/1/05: Setting up....smilin' Jeff in black pants, black shirt, black tie. To provide a nice backdrop for his Gibson? Hoping to disappear against dark walls? We may never know... [though note 'Joliet' Jake Blues in background is also in black. Also note the killer toppling Christmas tree]](http://d10j3mvrs1suex.cloudfront.net/s:bzglfiles/u/44827/87352ce21ac297c385b5ae57a30f0c9f6a02e170/original/261525-orig.jpg/!!/b%3AW1sic2l6ZSIsIjM1MHciXV0%3D/meta%3AeyJzcmNCdWNrZXQiOiJiemdsZmlsZXMifQ%3D%3D.jpg)

engine14, Decoy Lounge, Dec 1, 2005. Judging from the new guitar strap Jeff is sporting, with his name embroidered in 2" high letters, he got tired of the rest of us referring to him as "hey you, yeah, you, lead guitar guy."
![Decoy 12/1/05: Can you tell Christmas is coming? [this is the stage right tree that did NOT fall down!]](http://d10j3mvrs1suex.cloudfront.net/s:bzglfiles/u/44827/cfc8d60420d83707c82554ff24e1cb48d54be4a9/original/261515-orig.jpg/!!/b%3AW1sic2l6ZSIsIjM1MHciXV0%3D/meta%3AeyJzcmNCdWNrZXQiOiJiemdsZmlsZXMifQ%3D%3D.jpg)
Decoy 12/1/05: Can you tell Christmas is coming? [this is the stage right tree that did NOT fall down!]

Decoy 12/1/05: Stan the Man...and his inspiration for those crowd-pleasing, bass vocals he delivers!

Decoy 12/1/05: Belushi in engine14? If only! No, we didn't have the heart to tell Rob that his new friend is made of fiberglass.

Decoy 12/1/05: Beer break! Rob has just silenced Jeff and Stan in yet another bitter "tastes great!...less filling!" debate.

Rob nailing the rhythm for engine14 at Hard Rock Cafe, Washington, DC. Rob's goal is to someday have his drumset and clothes--with Rob in them!!--put inside of a glass-framed display at Hard Rock just like that guitar on the wall....

Company picnic in September, plenty of room to set up, plenty of power for our stuff, nice weather, nice crowd!
